Golfclub Schloss Mainsondheim e.V. was founded in 1987 and stands apart with its idyllic location at the heart of Main-Franconia. It is located about 25 kilometers east of Würzburg and is easily reached via the A3. The 70 hectares large grounds extend along the Main river. Golfclub Schloss Mainsondheim e.V. offers an 18 hole course with flat terrain and water hazards. The level of difficulty is challenging. The up to 650 square meter large terraced greens and up to two and a half meter deep bunkers make great demands on the players. One of the course’s highlights is hole 16, where golfers have to play over a pond to reach an island green. Accommodation is available. The driving range includes 30 tees, four of which are covered. Furthermore, there are putting greens, chipping greens and practice bunkers. Guests are always welcome, but prior registration is required on weekends or public holidays. A club ID with handicap (54) is required. VcG players are admitted. Dogs are permitted on the course but must be leashed. GPS devices are admitted, as are softspikes. Golfclub Schloss Mainsondheim e.V. has a clubhouse with the restaurant “Aida,” which treats its guests to international cuisine. Sanitary facilities are available. The Pro Shop offers trolleys and electric carts for rental and provides caddies on request.
