Greensgate Golf &Leisure Resort

The Greensgate Golf & Leisure Resortis home to the Greensgate Golf Club and is located near the town of Dýšina-Nová Hut, in the region of Plzeň. It is located in a picturesque river landscape on the northern edge of Plzeň, traversed by the Klabava, a tributary of the Berounka. Its south end borders the idyllic Ejpovice Lake. From Pilsen, the Greensgate resort can be reached via Route 233 in 20 minutes. From Prague, it can be reached via the D5/E50 in around an hour. The club was founded in 2004 and boasts an 18-hole course, type woodland/parkland with par 72. Responsible for the course’s design were the German golf course architects Städler and Reinmuth. The hilly terrain of the 5,741-meter long course is characterized by many water hazards, doglegs, and significant differences in altitude, in addition to some very wavy fairways. Several holes are located directly in water meadows. The course at the Greensgate is technically quite challenging for both beginners and experienced golfers. The championship course hosted the Ladies European Tour from 2013 to 2016 and hole 11 was recognized as hole of the year in 2013 by Golf Digest. It has a seldom seen three-layer level and boasts an island green on a natural peninsula located in the middle of a lake.
