Guavaberry Golf & Country Club

The Guavaberry Golf & Country Club is not far from the bathing resort Juan Dolio, which is in the province of San Pedro de Macoris in the Dominican Republic. It lies embedded in a residential area on the Dominican south coast and borders nature reserves and tropical forests. From the center of Juan Dolio, the Guavaberry Golf & Country Club can be quickly reached in about a half an hour and the Las Américanas International Airport is also only about half an hour away via Route 3. In 2002, the club opened the 18-hole Guavaberry Golf Course in the type of parkland with par 72, which was created by the famous golf course architect Gary Player. The 6,543-meter-long course has wide fairways, which are lined by rare Coroso palm trees, large greens, many bunkers and spectacular water hazards at 6 of the 18 holes. Holes 9 and 18, which have 200,000-year-old coral reef formations on their right side, are especially challenging. The signature hole at the Guavaberry Golf & Country Club is hole 13, where a 4.5-meter-high waterfall flows cascade-like into a stone pit pond. In addition, there are two separate greens, which are rotated every day, on the fairway to create different game perspectives. Hole 15, which is surrounded by a 12,000-square-meter-large pond, requires athletic and tactic skills from the golfers.
