Hainan Moon Bay Golf Club – 18-Hole Course

The Hainan Moon Bay Golf Club can be found in Xiuying, a northwestern suburb of Haikou, the capital of the southern Chinese province of Hainan. It lies on a 100-hectare area in the tourist district of Yingbin, next to the Nanhai crocodile lake, China’s largest crocodile breeding farm, close to the ocean. From Haikou’s city center, the Hainan Moon Bay Golf Club can be reached in about half an hour. It was founded in 2003 and features a 27-hole park consisting of an 18-hole course with par 72 and a 9-hole course with par 36, with a total length of 9,500 meters. The course design at Hainan Moon Bay Golf Club stems from an unnamed American golf course architect. Designed as a championship course, the layout of the 18-hole course is scattered with many deep sand bunkers and numerous large ponds. These ensure a high technical and tactical challenge for golfers of all handicaps. The practice area at the Hainan Moon Bay Golf Club calls a driving range with night-time illumination as well as a putting area for training the short game its own.
