Harewood Golf Club

The Harewood Golf Club is located by the Pacific Ocean at the eastern coast of New Zealand’s South Island. It is located close to the center of Christchurch in the Canterbury Region and offers striking vistas of the New Zealand Alps and the ridges of hills called Port Hills. The center of the city is located around 20 minutes away, while the Harewood Golf Club can be reached in just a few minutes from Christchurch Airport. It houses the 18 hole, par-72 Woodland Course, which has been extensively redesigned by golf course architect Turner McPherson in 2012. The links course has been transformed into a parkland course, with 18 new greens as well as 18 new tee complexes with four different tees. The fairways are broad but have a relatively even design, while the greens are undulating and partially split in two. The course features tree-lined doglegs, numerous bunkers, and depressions in the middle of the fairways; it doesn’t have water hazards. Even if the course of the Harewood Golf Club is considered demanding, it is still suitable for golfers of all handicaps. The course measures 6,448 meters and is designed as a championship course. The training area of the Harewood Golf Club has equally lavish facilities and sports a new design. Here, players will find putting and chipping greens, as well as a bunker facility and a roofed driving range with 23 hitting stations. You can rent carts and clubs on site.
