Haunstrup Golfklub

Ten kilometers west of Herning, the Haunstrup Golfklub is situated in the small village of Haunstrup in central Jutland. Due to its proximity to the city, which has three museums for modern art as attractions, it has a good traffic connection at its disposal. The cities of Vejle and Holstebro are located just 60 minutes and a half hour from the golf club along Route 18, respectively. The club provides golfers with a 4,718-meter long, 18-hole course of the parkland type, with par 67. The terrain of the course is slightly hilly with many sand bunkers and a couple of large water hazards that cross or follow alongside the fairways. The long, open fairways lined by woods, bushes, and hedges are perfect for players that consider themselves long hitters. Several greens are raised, and some fairways partially run through woods or past wind turbines. The hidden green on hole 14 is completely encircled by trees. At 644 meters, the Haunstrup Golfklub has the longest par-6 hole, which beginners and advanced players can respectively prepare for in beginner courses and the club’s driving range.
