Hermon Meadow Golf Club

The Hermon Meadow Golf Club lies in the city of Hermon, which belongs to Penobscot County in the US state of Maine. It spreads across a densely forested, hilly terrain through which the Wheeler Stream flows. From downtown Hermon, the Hermon Meadow Golf Club can be reached in four minutes, and from Maine’s capital of Augusta in 71 minutes via the Interstate 95 N. The club opened an 18-hole course with par 72 in 1972, designed by Winn Pike. He constructed a 5,787 meter long course with broad fairways lined by trees, cleverly placed bunkers and water hazards in the form of ponds and streams at holes 1 to 3, 9, 10, 12, 13, 17 and 18. Golfers have to play across all of these in order to reach the green. The fairways provide five different tees for various difficulty levels. This means that the course, which is considered challenging, can be tackled by both golf beginners and experienced golfers. In order to prepare for this, Hermon Meadow Golf Club offers a driving range with 15 tees as well as a putting and chipping green for practicing. Golfers can rent golf clubs and electric carts or purchase their own golf clubs, golf bags and golf items such as hats of balls at the club’s Pro Shop.
