Hodge Park Golf Course

The Hodge Park Golf Course lies in Kansas City, the largest city of the US state of Missouri, in Clay County. It winds through a hilly, densely forested terrain in the 250 hectare Hodge Park, surrounded by prairie and buffalo grass. From Kansas City’s center, the Hodge Park Golf Course can be reached comfortably in 20 minutes via the Interstate 35 N. It was opened in 1976 and is an 18-hole northland course with par 71, the layout of which was created by Michael Malyn. The 5,690 meter long course shows manicured fairways and greens, few bunkers, ten doglegs of varying forms, and especially numerous water hazards such as three lakes and the East Fork Shoal Creek that runs through the course. Water hazards can be found at 7 of the 18 holes and must be played across with one hit at five holes. Nonetheless, Hodge Park Golf Course can be mastered by golfers of all handicaps. This is assured by several options for teeing off on the fairways, so that golfers can play the challenging course individually. In the practice area of the course, a driving range with 20 tees, two putting and a chipping green await practicing players. For more comfort on the course, golf clubs, electric carts and trolleys can be rented.
