Holywell Golf Club

The Holywell Golf Club is located along the A55 between Chester and Colwyn Bay, not far from the bay of Dee. The nearest large city is Liverpool, from which the club can reached in around an hour by car. The 18-hole course is counted among the highest-lying golf courses in Wales which often causes strong winds giving the course a special quality. The Holywell Golf Club has been enjoyed by golfers for more than a hundred years and is harmoniously integrated into the rural landscape, without any strenuous uphill holes. This links-course is situated on comfortable, varied flat terrain, ideal for players of all levels. Because the terrain lies on porous limestone, the 18 fairways can be played year round without limitations. On the fifth fairway, a dog leg with an angle of nearly 90 degrees requires special finesse, while the fourteenth hole has earned the name “the Bowl” with its water hazards and vegetation. The Pro Shop at the Holywell Golf Club is directed by a PGA Advanced Professional that is available both for individual lessons, as well as for the perfect fitting. At the Holywell Golf Club, an original Welsh breakfast can be enjoyed before an early round of golf.
