Ikast Golf Klub

The Ikast Golf Klub is situated near the center of the town of Ikast, in the middle of Jutland. It lies idyllically on the edge of the former Skelhøje plantation, a conifer plantation from the 19^th century, at the eastern foothills of the dominating Skovbjerg Bakkeø hill. Thanks to its good connection to Route 15, the Ikast Golf Klub is easily reached from Herning in 20 minutes and from Silkeborg in 30 minutes. From the Southern Danish regional capital Vejle, the club can be reached in 50 minutes on Route 13. Founded in 1990, the Ikast Golf Klub has an 18-hole course of the parkland type with par 72. On the slightly hilly terrain, fast greens, many sand bunkers, doglegs, forest and bushes, as well as ponds and small lakes provide a sporting challenge. Hole 12 is a special feature, which is said to be the longest and most beautiful par-4 hole in Denmark. Additionally, the Ikast Golf Klub hosts a 2,030-meter long 9-hole Pay&Play course, with par 72, that stretches over the north side of the club and is said to be one of the best Pay&Play courses in the country. In the practice area of the club, golfers will find a 6-hole par-3 course where they can practice short shots, as well as a driving range for practicing long shots.
