Indian Wells Golf Club

The Indian Wells Golf Club is located in the town of Garden City, that is in Horry County in the US state of South Carolina. It spans across a hilly terrain at Surfside Beach, which is situated near the mouth of Murrells Inlet at the southern end of the Myrtle Beach region. From the center of Garden City you can reach the Indian Wells Golf Club via the Garden City Con in three minutes, while Myrtle Beach is a 20-minute long ride with the US-17 BUS S. In 1984, the club opened an 18 hole, par 72 course, which was designed by the famous golf course architect Gene Hamm. In 2002/2003, he renovated the 6,056-meter-long course, exchanging the Front and the Back Nine. The current space has fairways lined with oak trees, quick greens, doglegs, many bunkers and water hazards for 14 of the 18 holes. Lakes, ponds and moats must be overcome for the holes 2 to 4, 9, 10, 15 and 18. One special feature of the course at the Indian Wells Gold Club is the 18th hole, also known as “Dream 18”, because it is considered to be one of the most challenging and beautiful courses of the entire Grand Strand region. Designed in the fashion of a traditional US Open Course, the course was chosen as golf course of the year by the Golf Course Owners Association in 2004.
