Jackal Creek Golf Club

The Jackal Creek Golf Club can be found in Northriding, a suburb of Randburg, which belongs to the urban area of the South African city of Johannesburg in the province of Gauteng. It lies embedded in a residential area and is situated on the grounds of the Jackal Creek Golf Estate. From Northriding’s center, Jackal Creek Golf Club is comfortably reachable in 15 minutes along Aureole Avenue, while the journey from Johannesburg requires about 45 minutes via the N1 Western Bypass. The club was founded in 2010 and opened an 18-hole parkland course with par 72, with a design provided by the DDD Design Group and implemented by golf course architect Douw van der Merwe. The course measures 6,470 meters and is shaped by long, curvy fairways in dogleg-form, differently sized greens, deep bunkers, and clear height differences. Water hazards such as lakes, ponds, pools, and streams play a role at 9 of the 18 holes. Golfers must tee off across water at holes 3, 6, and 8. A pretty peninsula green awaits golfers at holes 6, and a green completely surrounded by bunkers and water at hole 8. The championship course at Jackal Creek Golf Club does not own a driving range, but it does provide a putting green for practice purposes.
