Golf Kotlina Terezín

The golf course Golf Kotlina Terezín is near the city of Terezín (German: Theresienstadt) in Northern Bohemia. It is the home of the Maria Theresia Golf Club and is located in the forests at the confluence of the Elbe and Ohře rivers. Golf Kotlina Terezín only ten minutes from Terezín and eleven minutes from the district city of Litomeříce. From Prague, the club can be quickly reached in 50 minutes via the E55. The golf course was designed by Jiří Hamr and Jan Hubáček and was opened in 2004. The 9-hole Kotlina course is 6,388-meter long, type meadowland/parkland with par 72. Numerous water hazards, bunkers, and doglegs increase the difficulty of playing on the flat terrain which demands tactical and technical expertise, even from experienced golfers. The green at hole 3 is surrounded by four water hazards where golfers must play over them. A stream protects the green at hole 4. The narrow green at hole 7 is protected left and right by water and a large tree. Holes 8 and 9 require golfers to play over a large pond. Hole 9 is additionally protected on the right by a fence. At the training area at Golf Kotlina Terezín, a driving range with 17 covered tees, as well as three putting greens, pitching, and chipping.
