La Esmeralda Country Club

This athletic country club is located in San Jeronimo Xonacahuacan, in the metropolitan region of Mexico City. The site is not far from the small town of Tecamac de Felipe, in a predominantly agricultural setting. It is approximately 40 kilometers from Pachuca de Soto to La Esmeralda Country Club. In addition to golf, the club offers its guests a diverse sport and leisure program. The golf course was initially built in 1996 as a 12-hole course by the golf course architects Pedro Guereca and Davy Hoffman, and was later expanded by six additional holes. The present-day 18-hole course (par-72) is athletically challenging and is characterized by small greens and well-placed bunkers. The course is flat and the lanes are surrounded by trees. Players have wonderful views onto the surrounding countryside of the La Esmeralda Country Club from the course’s greens. And the sports opportunities are equally fantastic: there is a large-scale training area with a driving range and a putting green for warming up and training. If desired, one can book trial courses or even courses to receive a golf license. Guests are welcome at the La Esmeralda Country Club at any time. The pro-shop offers rental golf clubs, caddies and golf buggies. The peacefully situated course is rounded off by a swimming pool, tennis courts, horseback riding and biking opportunities and a beautiful wellness facility. A day of sports at this beautiful golf course should then definitely be finished off luxuriously on the terrace of the club restaurant.
