The Lansbrook Golf Club calls Lansbrook home, a suburb of the town of Palm Harbor, which lies in Pinellas County in the US state of Florida. It stretches across a landscape typical for Florida, with many wetlands and cypress forests near the Lake Tarpon. Situated at the edge of the residential complex, the Lansbrook Golf Course can be reached from the city center of Palm Harbor in 18 minutes and from Tampa in about 40 minutes via the FL-60 W and McMullan Booth Road. It opened an 18-hole parkland type course with par 72 in 1975, designed by Lane Marshall. In 1991, the course was redesigned by the well-known golf course architect Ron Garl. The 6,259 meter long course features narrow fairways lined by tall trees that do not run parallel, and large greens. Many holes sit in forest areas. At 16 of the 18 holes at Lansbrook Golf Club water comes into play, whereby golfers must play across the lakes and ponds at holes 3, 7, 8, 11 and 17. More than 40 sand bunkers and several doglegs add to the obstacles of the course, which is considered challenging. The highlight of the championship course, which hosted the PGA Tour in 2012, is hole 11, a reconstruction of the famous hole number 26 at the Augusta North Golf Club.
