Minne Monesse Golf Club

The Minne Monesse Golf Club is situated in the small town of Grant Park in Kankakee County in the US state of Illinois. It lies embedded in a gentle hill landscape, surrounded by stately, old oak trees. From downtown Grant Park, the Minne Monesse Golf Club can be reached in eight minutes via the IL-17 E, while the comfortable trip from Chicago to the club via the Interstate 94 E takes about an hour. The club opened the 18 hole Minne Monesse Golf Course as a parkland type with par 72 back in 1926, with Bob Lohmann and Willie Watson providing the design. The course runs along slightly wavy terrain and has a length of 5,943 meters. It is characterized by narrow, elongated fairways and small greens. There are few doglegs, bunkers or groups of trees, but water hazards at 11 of the 18 holes. Holes 8, 15 and 16 require golfers to play across water in the form of ponds, water ditches and streams. Three different tee boxes are available on the fairways, so that golfers of all playing abilities can use an ideal tee for the right difficulty level to master the challenging course. In its practice area, the Minne Monesse Golf Club offers a driving range as well as a putting green, a chipping green and a practice bunker to improve your golf level.
