Montebello Club Campestre

The golf course of the Montebello Club Campestre belongs to a large hotel complex, the Montebello Golf Resort. It is situated approx. ten minutes away from the inner city of Torreón, in the Mexican state of Coahuila.  Montebello is located in the center of Mexico at an altitude of approximately 1,100 meters. The surrounding area of the Montebello Club Campestre is desert-like with the remains of a few lagoons. Therefore, the hotel complex with its golf course resembles a green oasis. There are numerous leisure opportunities for guests, such as the 18-hole course with par-72 within close proximity. It was opened in 2002. Several large bunkers pose an athletic challenge for beginners and advanced golfers alike. A few tall palms adorn the course, which also contains several water hazards. The course is approximately 6,500 meters long and its long lanes circle the hotel complex, which is very popular among Mexicans. There is a driving range available for warming up and teeing. The golf course at the Montebello Club Campestre may not offer many golfing highlights, however, it is a lovely leisure facility if one is staying in the hotel. Furthermore, an excursion to the nearby nature reserve Cañón de Fernández is highly recommended. It is famous for its woods, lakes, rivers and mountain and is an important habitat for many animal and plant species.
