The Moscow Golf Club was the first 18-hole course in Russia. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in the year 1993. It is a parkland-style course, which extends throughout a gorgeous birch forest in Nachalbino. The small town is located around 35 kilometers to the west of the Russian capital, which takes around 35 minutes by car. The handsome par-72 course measures a total of 6,542 meters. The Moscow Country Club regularly hosts the Russian Open. Architect Trent Jones Jr. designed a diverse course, which offers a very pleasurable round of golf. The water and bunker hazards are positioned cleverly on the flat course, offering both casual players and pros a real challenge. A handicap of 28 (men) or 36 (women) is required to play this course. Non-members can book a round on the splendid course on weekdays, or in the weekends upon request. The course offers a golf school on-site with PGA-certified golf teachers, and an indoor and outdoor driving range, golf simulator, and practice greens round off the range of golfing activities offered. Guests can purchase or rent equipment in the pro shop. The golfing facilities include an exclusive resort with hotel rooms and lodges. While various restaurants and bars offer hungry and thirsty golfers a hearty meal or refreshing drink. It is a real pleasure to play a round at the Moscow Golf Club, and the course is open from May to October.
