Muriwai Golf Links

The attractive golfing facilities of the Muriwai Golf Links are located not far from Auckland. The club boasts a splendid 18 hole championship course, which extends along the dunes of the northwestern coast of the North Island. The par-72 course is situated on undulating terrain with sand, grasses, heather, and several pines. The course is open year-round and measures 6,139 meters in total. Muriwai Golf Club is a private club that is always open to guests. The course winds through a protected bird reserve, and the silence and calm of this uniquely beautiful site is not disturbed by buildings or traffic noises. The only sound accompanying the golfer at the Muriwai Golf Links are the crashing waves of the ocean and the chirping of birds. Each hole of the Muriwai course offers breathtaking views of the ocean and the kilometers-long beach before it, as well as of the adjacent forest. Due to its proximity to the ocean, each day of golfing at Muriwai is different, with conditions changing depending on the wind and weather conditions –similar to a typical Scottish links course. The course is always excellently maintained. On site, there is a golf shop where you can rent equipment, a golf restaurant, as well as a cafe and bar. Additionally, the private club boasts a large practice area with driving range, a chipping green, and practice bunkers. The Muriwai Golf Links facilities can be reached by Highway 16, from Waimauku you can take the Muriwai Road.
