Murrayshall Golf Course

The picturesque region of Perthshire surrounds the very well-known Murrayshall Golf Course. The course belongs to an exclusive and prestigious golf complex with two excellent 18-hole courses. Both are located in a beautiful old landscaped park with a historic country house from the 17th century. Though only around six kilometers from Perth, this town is characterized by its relaxing calm and isolation from hectic rush or any stress. The Murrayshall Golf Course was designed by Hamilton J. Stutt in 1981. The parkland course (par 72) is 5,600-meters long and athletically very challenging. The fairways traverse the majestic and hilly park landscape with its ancient trees, past streams and meadows. The greens are well-protected thanks to strategically-placed bunkers and water hazards. The championship course is wider than the shorter Lynedoch Golf Course and therefore requires long and exact tees. A driving range as well as various practice greens and bunkers are available for practicing. Anyone who is interested can rent equipment in the Pro Shop. The excellent golf facilities regularly host large tournaments (PGA, SCU National Finals, for example, the Sky Sports Trilby Tour). Guests are always very welcome on the hotel’s own courses. The Murrayshall Golf Course can be reached in around an hour from the airport in Edinburgh.
