Golf de Nîmes Vacquerolles

The golf club Golf de Nîmes Vacquerolles is located on the outskirts of the city of Nîmes in southern France in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. It is embedded in the valley of Vacquerolles, located in the open Garrigue, the shrubby heaths typical for the Mediterranean area. Golf de Nîmes Vacquerolles stretches across an area of 72 hectares and allows a beautiful view of the nearby forests and the silhouette of Nîmes, the center of which is reachable in half an hour via the Route de Sauve/D999. The club is also easily accessible from the larger cities in the region. Golf de Nîmes Vacquerolles is less than an hour away from Avignon via the N100 and A9, and an hour from Monpellier via the A9. The golf club was established in 1990 and features an 18 hole parkland course with par 72. Golf course architect Harold J. Baker was responsible for its design. Designed as a championship course, the 6185 meter long course offers a slightly hilly terrain and mostly wide, open fairways and elevated greens that are lined by forests and groves typical for the landscape. Numerous doglegs and several water hazards make the area, considered to be easy to challenging, more difficult to play. Beginners and advanced golfers get their money’s worth here.
