Oak View Golf Club

The Oak View Golf Club is situated between the cities of Freeborn and Alden in Freeborn County in the US state of Minnesota. It stretches across a terrain near Lake Freeborn. From downtown Freeborn, Oak View Golf Club can be reached in five minutes via 275th St and 665th Ave. It can also quickly be reached from Alden via the avenue in eight minutes. The club opened a 9-hole course with par 36 and a length of 2,787 meters in 1969. The course features wide open fairways lined by trees; crooked, fast greens, ten bunkers and water hazards in the form of three ponds at four of the nine holes. At holes 4 and 9, golfers need to play directly across the water to reach the green. The golf course can be mastered with no trouble by golfers of all handicaps and is especially suitable for the short game. Even though the Oak View Golf Club does not have a driving range for players eager to train, it does provide a putting green in its practice area. Golf clubs and carts with gas engines can also be rented on site.
