Palm Garden Golf Club – Bismarck Course

The Palm Garden Golf Club lies in Putrajaya, the twin town of the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur. It winds through a hilly area of 330 hectares on the grounds of the IOI Resort City in the valley of the Klang river. Just ten minutes away from Putrajaya’s center, the Palm Garden Golf Club can be reached in half an hour from Kuala Lumpur. It established a 27-hole park with three 9-hole loops in 1993, conceptualized by Rick Robbins. In 2009, the entire course was reconstructed and redesigned into a new 18-hole parkland course with par 72 by Australian golf course architect Ted Parslow. It consists of the 9-hole Eugenia course and the 9-hole Bismarck Course. Both run along hilly terrain with several slopes, long fairways, challenging greens, numerous finger bunkers that shield the greens, and few water hazards. The Eugenia Course at the Palm Garden Golf Club measures 3,215 meters and is particularly characterized by sharply bent doglegs. On the 3,187-meter-long Bismarck Course, particularly hole 17 with an island green protected by bunkers generates excitement. The Palm Garden Golf Club belongs to the most difficult courses in Malaysia and is ranked among the top 10 courses in the country. It was nominated as Malaysia’s best golf course in 2016.
