Parador de Málaga Golf

Founded in 1925, Parador de Málaga Golf counts among the country’s oldest golf courses. The course was inaugurated by none less than the royal family. The 27-hole golf course lies in the Costa del Sol, right on the coastline. It only takes about ten minutes to reach Málaga airport, and the city itself is just a stone’s throw away. The course stands out for its scenic location in an old pine grove on top of Mount Gibralfaro across from the Alcazaba fortification. There are few panoramic views as beautiful and spectacular as from this amazing course. The course is not spectacular, but has something to offer for every player. For one, the varied course runs in parts directly along the coastline. Secondly, the traditional club has a uniquely dignified atmosphere. Amateur and professional golfers alike feel at home here. The course is well-kept, beautifully designed and offers a range of leisure and athletic activities. The grounds consist of the old 18-hole course as well as a newer 9-hole links course. The terrain is flat overall and perfect for beginners as there are few water hazards and bunkers. The local golf school organizes individual lessons and handicap courses, while the Pro Shop offers clubs, trolleys and further equipment for rental. Parador de Málaga Golf’s comfortable restaurant, serving typical Andalusian fare, especially fish, is a popular meeting point.
