Parco de' Medici Golf Club

Parco de’ Medici Golf Club is only a few kilometres outside Rome (14 kilometres from Leonardo da Vinci Airport and only a couple of minutes driving from Rome’s circular highway A90). Despite its proximity to Italy’s bustling capital, the golf park is an oasis of calm in the middle of the Sheraton hotel complex. Parco de’ Medici Golf Club has a 27-hole championship course, three putting greens, a driving range for 40 people (including a covered driving range for twelve tees), and a practice bunker. The historic site is characterized by its grandiose beauty. In the 16th century, the site hosted the private hunting grounds of Giovanni de’ Medici, who later made history as Pope Leo X. David Mezzacane designed the golf park of the club that was founded in 1988. The 18-hole par 72 course is challenging for any golfer and interesting for all handicap categories. The relatively flat terrain of Parco de’ Medici Golf Club offers a technically challenging course. The green with its beautiful tree stock consisting of pine trees and cypresses, among others, is structured by small elevations, bunkers, and six ponds as well as several ditches that all fit in beautifully with their surroundings. They demand both skill and concentration from the players. The restaurant located in the beautiful, historic clubhouse invites you to dine, sojourn, and relax. The club offers golf classes, and equipment can either be rented upon request or purchased at the pro shop.
