Pestana Beloura Golf Course

The Pestana Beloura Golf Course is located near the historic small town of Sintra at the foot of the Serra de Sintra mountain. In the UNESCO world heritage cultural landscape of Sintra, it offers a wonderful view of the Sintra mountains. Only 30 minutes by car from Lisbon, the Pestana Beloura Golf Course is easily reached via the A37. The club was founded in 1993 and offers an 18-hole Pestana Beloura course, type mountain with par 72, opened in 1994 and designed by the golf course architect legend, William “Rocky” Roquemore. The 5,573-meter long course has a slightly curved terrain with many water hazards with many small lakes strewn over the course. The fairways run between watercourses and ponds and are flanked by over 40,000 pine, eucalyptus, and magnolia trees. The landscape design of the course demands from both beginning and experienced golfers tactical skills and a precise game. It is one of the youngest golf courses along the Costa do Estoril. A specialty at the Pestana Beloura Golf Course is the self-sufficient irrigation technique of the course. The course’s own water reserves irrigate the course and ensure optimal conditions while golfing. In the practice area, a driving range with 22 range tees, as well as a putting green, offer good training opportunities for ambitious golfers.
