The Pineland Country Club is found in the city of Nichols, which is in Marion County of the US State South Carolina. The club is located in a quiet residential area, traversed by the Crutchlow Branch. From Nichols center, you can reach the Pineland Country Club in just four minutes via the State Road S-34-30, while from Myrtle Beach you would need over an hour to get there. In 1971, it opened an 18-hole parkland type course with par 72, designed by the famous golf course architect Gene Hamm. He created a 6,016-meter-long course with wide, straight fairways flanked by pine trees, and greens that are often completely shielded by bunkers. Water hazards can be found at 6 of the 18 holes. For example, at holes 1, 10 to 12 and 15, golfers must play over lakes and ponds. The Pineland Country Club, considered an athletic course, can be mastered by golfers of various playing strengths thanks to its four different teeing possibilities. Hole 1 is especially challenging, with its dogleg accompanied by a water hazard crossing through it, and a green that is defended by trees and a large bunker. Pineland Country Club also has a practice area, where it offers its golfers a driving range with 20 tees, as well as a putting and chipping green.
