Port Augusta Golf Club

With the wonderful Flinders Ranges in the background, the Port Augusta Golf Club is one of the most beautiful country golf courses in South Australia. The club’s history dates back to the year 1928. Whereas today’s course was built later. Port Augusta is located at the end of Spencer Golf, which reaches far into the inland, around 320 kilometres north of Adelaide. The 18-hole-course with par 70 runs across flat terrain. It has a total length of 5,757 meters and shines with a groomed layout. The fairways are surrounded by trees. Fairways and greens are covered with Kikuyu or couch grass. With great commitment, the course, a green oasis, is taken care of by the members. The course is suitable for all play levels, but also has some tricky holes. Only three holes on the course are not protected by bunkers. Guests are always welcome in Port Augusta. The atmosphere at the Port Augusta Golf Club is relaxed and family-friendly. People like to meet at the clubhouse to sit together before or after the game. A small bar is open on a daily basis. You have the possibility to hire modest golf equipment on site. From Adelaide, the Port Augusta Golf Club can be reached via the Augusta-Highway (A1). The scenery is great and protected by some nearby national parks.
