Prestige Golfshire Club

The Prestige Golfshire Club is located in India’s third largest city of Bangalore in the southwestern state of Karnataka. It lies on a surface of 111 hectares by Lake Karehalli, at the foot of an old fortress on the Nandi Hills, and offers a great view of the landscape. Located about 50 minutes from the center of Bangalore via Bellary Road, the Prestige Golfshire Club is about half an hour away from the Bangalore International Airport via the NH44. It was founded in 2011 and designed by the British golf course architect Bob Hunt of PGA Design Consulting. He built an 18-hole links championship course with par 72 and a length of 6,404 meters. The course runs along wavy terrain with very large, undulating greens, doglegs, deep bunkers, and several lakes. Water comes into play at all 18 holes, and must be played across at 8 of these. At the 1st hole, a large island green awaits, and a pretty peninsula green greets golfers of all handicaps at hole 7. The golf course at the Prestige Golfshire Club hosted the Pro-Am golf tournament in 2012. Since its opening, the club has already won numerous awards, including “Best Golf Development India 2016” and “Highly Commended Golf Development India 2015”. To practice long hits, a driving range is available to golfers in the practice area.
