Qixianling Hot Spring Golf Club

The Qixianling Hot Spring Golf Club is located in the southern Chinese town of Baoting in the Qixianling Spring Resort District on the island of Hainan. It stretches across an area of 245 hectares to the south of the Wuhzi mountain range, next to the Qixianling National Forest Park, and offers a beautiful view of the tropical rain forest and the mountains. Centrally located in Baoting, the Qixianling Hot Spring Golf Club lies just a four-minute walk from the town center. From Sanya, the club can be reached in 105 minutes via the G224. It was founded in 2008 and renovated in 2012. The American golf course architect Mark Miller was responsible for its design, creating an 18-hole parkland course with par 72. The course at Qixianlang Hot Spring Golf Course measures 6,539 meters and runs along hilly terrain with narrow fairways, mostly elevated, but little-contoured greens, and many doglegs. It displays elevation differences of more than 50 meters. 59 sand bunkers and 12 lakes present obstacles that both novices and old hands should not underestimate. The course winds through rubber trees near the hot spring that gave it its name. At 5 of the 18 holes, golfers are required to play across water, onto a peninsula green at the 9th hole and onto a beautiful island green at the 15th hole.
