Quail Creek Golf Course

The Quail Creek Golf Course is located in the city of Fairhope in Morgan County, Alabama. It is situated along the eastern shores of Mobile Bay that flows into the Gulf of Mexico. From downtown Fairhope via Fairhope Avenue, the Quail Creek Golf Course can be reached in 10 minutes; from nearby Mobile via I-10E and the AL-181S in around half an hour. It was opened in 1988 and renovated in 2009. Barney Shull was responsible for its design. The 18-hole course with par 72 has a length of 5,870 meters and is easy to master by golfers of all handicaps. It has long, narrow, and straight fairways, wavy greens, four lakes and ponds as water hazards, in addition to more than 40 sand bunkers. Because the Quail Creek Golf Course is an urban course, the fairways are situated close to each other. There are three different tees on the fairway for different levels of difficulty. The course is conceptualized as a championship course and is managed by the PGA professional Bobby Halle. In the training area at the club, golfers can use the large driving range, as well as a putting and chipping green. In the Pro Shop, golf clothing and equipment can be purchased, as well as rental clubs, trolleys, and electric carts.
