Quinta da MarinhaClub de Golf

Five kilometers west of Cascais lies the Quinta da Marinha Club de Golf on the well-known Estoril-Cascais Atlantic coast and borders on the beach of Guincho. From the club, wonderful views of the ocean and the Sintra mountains can be enjoyed. The Quinta da Marinha Club de Golf is located 25 kilometers west of Lisbon and is easy to reach via the A5. By train or ship, the club can be quickly reached due to Cascais’ own yacht harbor with 600 moorings. The club was founded in 1983 and boasts an 18-hole course with par 71 designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The course is flat and covered in pine trees. Elevated greens and tees, numerous bunkers and water hazards, as well as doglegs make it a challenging course for golfers of all levels. Hole 3, leading towards the Atlantic, is one of the most well-known golf holes in Portugal that is used to promote round-the-year “Golf in Portugal.” Also interesting is hole 13 which requires golfers to play over a large lake on an elevated green with four bunkers, as well as hole 18 which boasts a green completely surrounded by two lakes. At the Quinta da Marinha Club de Golf, there is also a 9-hole Academia International de Golf course that is well-suited for training before playing the larger course.
