Rancho Manana Golf Club

The Rancho Manana Golf Club is located in the small town of Cave Creek, Maricopa County, Arizona. It is located on the historic Dude Ranch, surrounded by the Sonora Desert with majestic panorama views of the Camelback Mountain, Squaw Peak, the Tonto National Forest with the Elephant Butte, and other Arizona mountains. From Scottsdale and Phoenix, the Rancho Manana Golf Club can be comfortably reached in half an hour. It opened an 18-hole golf course (type desert with par 70) in 1988, designed by golf course architect Bill Johnston. The hilly course boasts spectacular differences in altitude and elevated tees. Narrow fairways, wavy greens, surrounded by cacti, boulders, palm trees, poplar trees, dog legs, bunkers, and water hazards characterize the desert course. The first nine holes traverse the meadows of Cave Creek Wash on elevated terrain. From holes 7 to 9, the terrain drops in elevation and the second nine holes at the Rancho Manana Golf Club are characterized by water. Holes 13 to 15 are planted around a large lake. The championship course is considered one of the most beautiful courses in the Scottsdale-Phoenix area. The magazine Golf Digest chose it among their top 10 courses in Arizona.
