Ribagolfe OAKS

The golfing complex Ribagolfe Empreendimentos de Golfe is located 20 kilometers southeast of the city of Samora Correia, county Benavente, in the Portuguese region of Alentejo. It is only 30 minutes from the capital, Lisbon, and easily reached via the IC3 and A12. Ribagolfe Empreendimentos de Golfe was opened in 2004 and hosts the golf courses Ribagolfe Lakes and OAKS that are both located on slightly hilly terrain in a picturesque cork tree forest. Ribagolfe I is an 18-hole course, type parkland with par 72, that was designed by Peter Townsend as a championship course. It is 6.707 meters long and considered both varied and challenging. The fairways run through the cork trees and demand a precise, well thought out game. Well-placed water hazards force the golfer to play over water. Ribagolfe OAKS at Ribagolfe Empreendimentos de Golfe is an 18-hole course, type parkland with par 72, that was designed by Michael Kern. Somewhat easier to play than Ribagolfe Lakes, Ribagolfe OAKS is characterized by straight fairways, flanked by cork trees typical of the Alentejo region. Some water hazards and bunkers give the course an athletic level that can be mastered by both beginning and experienced golfers. In the practice area of the club, a driving range with 35 range tees, as well as a putting and chipping area are available.
