Royal Lakeside Golf Club

The Royal Lakeside Golf Club opened its doors in 1993 and underwent a renovation in 2011. It is located between Bangkok and Pattaya. It offers a very handsome, and very well-tended, 18-hole facility with par 72. The course stretches out over a swath of land by the river mouth of the Bangpakong. Various holes extend all the way to the shore, while others are flanked by a wide lagoon. A steady breeze blows in from the river, which offers pleasant playing conditions at the Royal Lakeside Golf Club. The fairways are covered in Zoysia grass, and the more recently created nine holes are covered in very short Bermuda grass. The greens are undulating, fast, and steady; and wide fairways shape the course. Even if the terrain is generally flat, the approaches are very tricky, due to the numerous mounds to the sides of the fairways and the large bunkers surrounding the greens. The whole facility at the Royal Lakeside Golf Club delights visitors with gorgeous flowers, flowering shrubs, and numerous palm, eucalyptus, and other trees. This is rounded off by ponds and streams that give the course a garden-like look and feel. Club members can even reach the facilities from Bangkok or Pattaya via the private marina by the river shores. The impressive clubhouse at the Royal Lakeside Golf Club bears some resemblance to the White House in Washington. There are two excellent restaurants (Japanese and Thai cuisine) that also offer guests splendid views of the 1st and 18th hole of this marvelous course.
