Royal Valley Golf Club

The Egyptian city of Luxor by the eastern banks of the Nile is home to the Royal Valley Golf Club. It offers a beautiful view of the West Bank and the antique sights by the river. From Luxor International Airport, the Royal Valley Golf Club can be reached in just six minutes via the Rd Lead to Oksor Airport. Along the same route, Luxor’s city center is just half an hour away. The club was founded in 2000 and calls an 18-hole course with par 72 its own, designed by the American golf course architect Arthur Davis. The course, measuring 6,158 meters, displays a varied layout. The front nine present broad fairways with well protected greens and many water hazards such as ponds and lakes. In contrast, the back nine have narrow, wavy fairways with numerous bunkers. Holes 10 and 18 run parallel to an elongated lake, but this does not create any difficulty for the golf game. However, a broad waste area does present a challenge, requiring courage in playing across it at hole 2. The Royal Valley Golf Club provides golfers with a 246-meter-long, double-ended driving range with six target greens, a putting, pitching, and chipping green, and practice bunkers for training.
