The Ruwa Country Club is situated in the town of Ruwa in the rural district of Goromonzi, which is located in the province of Mashonaland East in the eastern part of Zimbabwe. It lies on the 144-hectare grounds of the Ruwa Country Club Golf Estates near the Msasa Forest in Lake Chivero National Park, right in the town center on Mutare Road. From the capital of Harare and its international airport, the Ruwa Country Club can be reached via Mutare Road or Deport and Chiremba Road in about half an hour. The club was renovated in 2013 and opened a new 18-hole parkland course with par 72 and a length of 6,813 meters. The 75-year-old clubhouse is an eyecatcher on the course designed as a championship course. The Ruwa Country Club Golf Estate is the first notable golf estate in the Goromonzi district as well as the province Mashonaland East and the second renowned golf resort in Zimbabwe. The golf course at the Ruwa Country Club is considered one of the best in the country. It does not provide a driving range, but a putting green is available for golfers to practice their short game. Golf clubs as well as caddy services can be booked.
