Santo Estêvão Golfe

Santo Estêvão Golfe is a golf club in the county of Benavente in the southern Alentejo region, south of Lisbon. It is only 30 to 40 minutes from the Portuguese capital and its airport via the A1, A2, A10, A13, as well as the A12/IC 3. Opened in 2004, Santo Estêvão Golfe has an 18-hole course with par 73, designed by the well-known British golf course architect, Donald Steel. The course stretches across 72 hectares and is 6,382 meters long. With its flat terrain, wide fairways, and open landscape, it seems easy at first. With the slightly wavy terrain at Santo Estêvão Golfe, the numerous water hazards, the tricky bunkers, and the many old cork trees, the course poses a technical challenge for golfers of all experience levels. Hole 3, with a drive over one of the lakes being necessary, and hole 11, which provides a terrific view of the large lake of Santo Estêvão Golfe. The club owns two range tees, as well as a putting and chipping area. Clubs can be rented, as well as electric carts and trolleys. The on-site Pro Shop offers golf clothes and equipment, as well as smaller golf items, enabling every golfer to play their best.
