Savanna Golf Club

The Savanna Golf Club can be found in the city of Port Saint Lucie, which lies in Saint Lucie County in the US state of Florida. It sits in a residential complex at the edge of the Savanna Preserve State Park, close to Florida’s eastern coast. The Savanna Golf Club is 17 minutes from the city center of Port Saint Lucie and can be reached in an hour from Palm Beach via the Interstate 95 N. It opened an 18-hole executive course with par 61 in 1988, designed by the golf course architect Charles Ankrom from Golf Associations. The 3,481 meter long course features mainly short fairways, many bunkers and water hazards. The latter present an issue at 13 of 18 holes. At holes 6, 10 and 14, golfers have to play across water. In contrast to other golf courses in Florida, the course at the Savanna Golf Club contains barely any trees, which clearly makes for an easier game. Golf beginners and advanced players should have no troubles meeting the demands of the layout. Three different tee boxes are available at the holes to allow for different levels of difficulty when golfing. The golf club’s practice area boasts a driving net, a putting green as well as a pitch & chip zone. Golf clubs and trolleys can be rented, electric carts are included in the green fee.
