Sierra de los Padres Golfclub

The Sierra de los Padres Golf Club is located near the Argentinian town of Sierra de los Padres in the province of Buenos Aires. Situated on an area of 40 hectares, it lies in a residential area on the outskirts of town and grants a wonderful view of the foothills of the Sierra de los Padres mountain landscape and the cliffs of Satillón. From the center of Sierra de los Padres, the club can be reached in 20 minutes via Calle Graciela, while the drive from the next largest city of Mar del Plata to the Sierra de los Padres Golf Club takes nearly 45 minutes via the RN 226. It was established in 1959 and features an 18-hole parkland/woodland course with par 71, which was built in 1955. Golf course architect Luther Koontz and Alfranco SA were responsible for its design. The 5,829-meter-long course runs along crooked terrain with narrow fairways lavishly lined by trees and shrubs, large greens that are vehemently protected by bunkers, as well as several doglegs. Argentinian golf legend Roberto de Vicenzo has already played on Sierra de los Padres Golf Club’s course. Currently, at least three golf tournaments take place on the course every week for players with a national handicap. The club’s own pro shop offers golf clubs as well as balls and high-quality golf clothing.
