Söderhamns Golfklubb

The Söderhamns Golfklubb is located near the eastern Swedish city of Söderhamn in the Gävleborg province, on the Gulf of Bothnia. On the Kungsgatan it takes 15 minutes from the center of Söderhamn to the club, which has good traffic connections to the neighboring coastal towns due to its proximity to the coast. On the E4, the Söderhamns Golfklubb is a 45-minute drive form Hudiksvall, and an hours drive from Gävle. The club was founded in 1960, and in 1968 it opened an 18-hole course of the parkland/woodland type, with par 72. Its design goes back to the renowned golf course architect Nils Sköld, who designed the course very classically, with many water hazards, bunkers, doglegs, a pretty tree population, and fast greens. With its length of 5,682 meters, it does challenges the golfers athletic abilities, however it also demands precise play and tactics. The Söderhamns Golfklubb also possesses a 9-hole Pitch&Putt course of the parkland/woodland type, with par 27. It’s greens and tees are equipped with artificial turf, and it is just 710 meters long. With an additional putting green, it is especially suited to beginners and golfers that want to improve their short shots. Furthermore, the Söderhamns Golfklubb has a driving range for golfers to practice their long hits, as well as a putting and pitching area.
