Sonnengolf Club – Family Pitch & Putt Course

The Sonnengolf Club is located in Hungary, right by the border to the Austrian Burgenland. It is situated in the attractive Hungarian municipality of Zsira, which lies between the cities of Köszeg and Sopron (Ödenburg). From Vienna, the Sonnengolf Club can be reached comfortably in an hour and a half by car. In the sunny region, the Sonnengolf GC & Academy, which was founded in 2008, operates a golf course with two 9 hole courses. Initially, the 9-hole Family Pitch & Putt course was built. Just a year later, in 2009, an additional 9-hole course was created, rather flat and scattered with water hazards. Both courses are of the parkland type and were designed by Peter Maryhofer. Guests are always welcome at both golf courses at any time. The season runs from March to November. At the Sonnengolf Club, a large selection of practice possibilities is available. Aside from the 300-meter-long, illuminated driving range with seven covered tees, putting greens, pitching greens as well as chipping greens, practice bunkers and a 3-hole short course are available. Rental equipment such as rental clubs, trolleys and electric carts is available at the Pro Shop. The Sonnengolf Club has declared its goal of offering seasoned golfers an appealing course and new players an incentive and help. To achieve this, the Sonnengolf Club also gives golf lessons, from individual or group lessons to licenses to play golf courses or even tournaments.
