Myrtle Beach National – Southcreek Course

The golf club Myrtle Beach National is in the city of Myrtle Beach, which is found in the Horry County of the US state South Carolina. It extends into the heart of the city, which is situated near the 100 km long Grand Strand. From the city center you can easily reach the Myrtle Beach National via the US-501 N in approximately 20 minutes. The club opened a 54-hole course with three 18-hole courses with par 72 in 1973, designed by the famous golf course architect Arnold Palmer. The King North Course was then redesigned by Palmer in 1996 and has a length of 6,146 meters. The course is characterized by water hazards at every hole and numerous bunkers. Highlights are hole 6, “The Gambler”, with an island fairway, hole 12 with an island green and hole 18 with 40 bunkers. The West Course in Myrtle Beach National is 6,278 meters long and has wide fairways, large greens, many doglegs, bunkers and water at 15 of the holes. The Southcreek Course measures 5,866 meters and has small, undulated greens, many bunkers and doglegs as well as water hazards at 12 holes. Noteworthy is hole 10 with a dogleg around a lake, hole 13 with a gigantic bunker in front of a small green and hole 18, which has dogleg with a large bunker before the green.
