Stanhope Golf & Country Club

Only fifteen minutes from the beautiful small town of Charlottetown and only a few kilometers away from the National Park, the Stanhope Golf & Country Club shines with its excellent course. The views from the fairways are picturesque – the cliffs of Covehead Bay and the beautiful, kilometer-long sand beaches. The golf course is located in the center of the “Beaches” – a beloved vacation area in the province of Prince Edward Island, often shorted to PEI. Robbie Robinson designed the course and it opened in 1970. The links course is varied and tricky. The island is located on the south edge of the large Saint Lawrence Gulf; winds from the water play an important role on the 18-hole course with par 72. Water hazards and sand-filled bunkers also intervene in the course. The beautifully situated Stanhope Golf & Country Club is well-suited for golfers of all levels. Guests are always welcome; there is no handicap requirement. The generous clubhouse is inviting with its lounge, a small snack shop, as well as a Pro Shop. Charlottetown is not only the smallest capital in Canada, but also the country’s birth place. It was here that the Dominion of Canada was proclaimed in 1867.
