Steigenberger Al Dau Golf Course

The Steigenberger Al Dau Golf Course lies near the Egyptian bathing resort of Hurghada by the Red Sea. As part of the Steigenberger Al Dau Resort, it is placed in the desert like a small oasis and is set so close to the beach that it enables a sublime view of the Red Sea. The Steigenberger Al Dau Golf Course can be reached in about ten minutes from Hurghada’s international airport via El-Nasr, and from Hurghada’s center, the trip takes just 20 minutes along the same route. The course opened in 2006 as a 9-hole pitch & putt course with par 27 and was created by the golf course architecture firm Harradine Golf. It runs along a flat, in part slightly hilly terrain and is shaped by fairways bordering on sandy waste areas. Seven large sand bunkers, green hills, and water hazards ensure the high standard that the Steigenberger Al Dau Golf Course sets for both beginners and experienced golfers. Rivers, ponds, and lakes are connected in such a way that they spread across the entire course as merging water surfaces. The Steigenberger Al Dau Golf Course is the first golf course that was built in Hurghada and is excellently suited for practicing the short game. It has floodlights for an evening round of golf with cooler temperatures and also offers an aqua driving range and a putting green.
