Stillwaters Golf Club

The Stillwaters Golf Club is located near the city of Dadeville in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. It is embedded in a hilly landscape with a great view of Alabama’s forests and has an elevation of up to 60 meters. From downtown Dadeville, the Stillwaters Golf Club can be reached via AL-49S in around 12 minutes, while visitors will need around an hour from the capital of Montgomery via I-85N. The 18-hole highlands course was opened in 1997 as a traditional Scottish links course with par 72, designed by Kurt A. Sandness. The 6,314-meter long course has wavy fairways, densely flanked by trees, wavy greens, dog legs, many bunkers, and significant differences in altitude. There are water hazards in the form of canals and streams at eight holes which must be played over at holes 4, 6, 7, 11, 15, and 17. Golfers will also find three different teeing possibilities on the fairways, allowing for various levels of difficulty to be played. The Stillwaters Golf Club was designed as a championship course and is athletic and technically challenging; however, it can be mastered by golfers of all playing levels. In 1997, it was chosen by Golf Digest as one of the best courses in Alabama.
