Sun Peaks Resort

The Golf Course at Sun Peaks Resort is located 45 minutes by car from the west Canadian city of Kamloops, roughly 350 kilometers northeast of Vancouver. Kamloops can be reached by train or by car, as well as via regular flights from Vancouver or Calgary. The course was designed by Graham Cooke in 1996. It is located in the four season mountain resort of Sun Peaks at an elevation of 1,200 meters in an impressive mountain landscape between the Columbia and Rocky Mountains. This makes the Sun Peaks Golf Course the highest elevation golf course in British Columbia. The 18-hole course with par 72 can be played from late May until the end of September, in accordance with varying local weather conditions. The course is considered athletically challenging. The course rating value is between 64.1 and 70.7. The first nine holes demand athletic know-how. An accurate game is necessary on the narrow fairways. The back nine also pose an athletic challenge, especially hole 12, though the fairways here are wider and more open. Additionally, this section of the course was finished in 2005 and offers a majestic view of Mount Morrisey. A driving range is available to train.
