Sunrise Golf & Country Club

The Sunrise Golf & Country Club is only a few kilometers from the city of Taoyuan in the northwest of Taiwan. The club has one of the best golf courses of the country, which has already been awarded several times, and hosts numerous tournaments. The course is part of a popular hotel resort, which offers many other athletic leisure activities. The 18-hole-championship course with par 72 is 7,200 yards long. The course was designed by the renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in the year 1992. While the fairways are covered with Bermuda grass 328 Tifgreen, the greens have Champion Dwarf Bermuda grass. Hundreds of treed and countless kinds of flowers decorate the beautiful golf course of the Sunrise Golf & Country Club. This runs around a forested mountain. Natural differences in altitude on the fairways as well as large sand bunkers and water hazards shape the layout. The course is therefore one of the most athletically challenging courses in Taiwan. The golfers can take a break at two halfway houses. There is a driving range on site for warming up and training. In addition, club members and guests have access to a spa area with a swimming pool for relaxing. There is an exquisite restaurant at the sophisticated clubhouse.
