Suwan Golf & Country Club

The Suwan Golf & Country Club is situated around one hour to the west of Bangkok in a rural environment with rice fields, fruit orchards, small palm tree forests, and enchanting lotus ponds. The club opened its doors in 2005 and offers a very well-tended 18-hole, par-72 course. The championship course at Suwan Golf & Country Club hosted the Asian Tour International in 2010, as well as the Thailand Open in 2011. The terrain is very hilly, and the holes have significant elevation differences. Players must manage to hit their balls from flat fairways onto several elevated and well-protected greens. Each hole has a different character, demanding a different set of golfing skills. Water hazards can be found at almost all holes, and the doglegs are equally challenging, demanding very accurate swings. Some holes require long, straight drives, to bypass the strategic hazards on the fairways. Hole 17 is the most challenging hole, with a green protected by bunkers and surrounded by three large lily ponds. The Suwan Golf & Country Club is one of the best facilities in the entire Bangkok region. The training options and experienced caddies are excellent. The clubhouse, with its exclusive Japanese spa facilities and excellent Thai restaurant with a view of the ninth hole, matches and emphasizes the sophistication of this golf course.
