Tannenbaum Golf Club

The Tannenbaum Golf Club is located near the town of Drasco in Cleburne County, Arkansas. It stretches across two and a half hectares on the Tannenbaum peninsular, surrounded by Greers Ferry Lake and the Little Red River at the base of the Ozark Mountains. From Drasco, the trip only takes fifteen minutes; from Little Rock, the capital of Arkansas, the Tannenbaum Golf Club can be reached in 105 minutes. The 18-hole course with par 72 was opened in 1999, having been designed by the golf course architect John C. Floyd. The 6,042-meter long course traverses hilly terrain can has significant differences in altitude. The fairways are mostly long, straight, and narrow. There are only a few dog legs, however, there are several water hazards. Every hole is flanked by trees. With five different tees, many playing varieties are possible. The highlight of the course at the Tannenbaum Golf Club is hole 13 at which golfers must play 130 meters downhill to a peninsula green. Golfers can practice in the practice area of the club at the driving range with 25 tees, a pitching and chipping area, as well as a putting green. The Tannenbaum Golf Club is considered Arkansas’ best-kept golf secret. From 2005 until 2006, the golf course was counted among the top five best courses in Arkansas.
